It was a tremendous day for Freemasonry in Northwest Indiana. On Saturday, October 10, Porter Lodge #137 hosted its third Masonic Education event in Valparaiso, and the results exceeded expectations. Masonic education is an essential part of every Mason's journey, and more opportunities like this throughout the Fraternity would be welcome.
Attendees enjoyed four excellent presentations, and sincere thanks go to everyone who came out to support the event.
Special recognition goes to WB Lucas Pacukovski, who was instrumental in making the day possible and delivered a presentation of his own. Thanks also to WB Mike Doxsee and WB Rodney McGillvary, who traveled to Valparaiso to share their knowledge through two outstanding lectures.
Brother Justin Miller also deserves recognition for delivering his first Masonic education presentation, an outstanding effort that will hopefully be the first of many opportunities to share his knowledge and insights with his Brethren.
Events like this demonstrate how much can be learned when Masons gather to share ideas and engage in meaningful discussion. Education does not end with the Master Mason degree; in many ways, that is when it truly begins.
Thanks again to everyone who helped make the day such a success. The lodge looks forward to the next event and hopes that gatherings like this will continue and inspire other Lodges to follow suit.
